DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
On April 6, 2021, the Board approved contracts with six (6) licensed contractors to provide Construction Manager Services (CM) for miscellaneous projects to be defined by the County depending on their capacity and availability. Facilities Management has selected Cullison-Wright Construction Corp., for the Station 20 Golden Ocala Remodel & Expansion project. The Work includes expanding into an existing bay to create additional living space for future needs, as well as constructing two (2) new bays, one of which will be designed to accommodate a larger ladder truck. These enhancements are designed to improve operational efficiency and ensure the facility is well-prepared to meet evolving demand. The work is scheduled to be substantially completed within 360 days from the start date of the Notice to Proceed, with an additional 45 calendar days for final completion.
Attached for review is a draft contract. Pending approval at today's meeting, it will be forwarded to the CM for execution as written, and upon return will be processed for the County Attorney, Clerk and Chair’s signatures.
BUDGET/IMPACT:
Neutral; project cost is $3,005,921. Funding for this project is from VJ732522-552102 (Infrastructure Surtax Capital Project Fund) Project FRC000026. Up to 10% contingency may be added to the purchase order in accordance with the Procurement Manual.
