DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
As part of the Public Emergency Medical Transport (PEMT) program, Marion County Fire Rescue is participating in the managed Medicaid portion that will require an Intergovernmental Transfer (IGT) to be made in order to draw down funds from the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA). The agreement that is provided by AHCA will allow for Marion County to recognize the realized revenues as a result of the IGT. The deadline for the agreement to be executed is October 1, 2024. 

The letter of agreement with AHCA will require Marion County to pay $2,507,423.12, which will result in revenues of $3,346,938.58.


BUDGET/IMPACT:

Estimated revenue of $3,346,938.58 for the Emergency Medical Services fund.
