DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:

Logos Lodge, Inc. is a nonprofit with a mission to mentor men through its drug and alcohol regeneration program. They were established in 2018 and participants are assessed and referred to housing and programs that best serve their needs until transitioning to self-sufficiency and substance free. The program includes assistance with locating full-time employment, team leadership skills, rebuilding relationships with their families, and financial education for their families.

On May 13, 2022, Logos Lodge, Inc. applied to Community Service’s Notice of Funding Availability for State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Funds to assist in expanding its program to become an affordable housing provider.  They currently house eight (8) individuals through properties that they rent on behalf of the program. To increase long-term affordability Logos Lodge, Inc. currently acquired two homes in need of repairs. The total project cost is approximately $320,674 of which they have provided $79,000 in acquisition, labor, and initial repairs.  Additional repairs to the two homes will include new roofs, HVAC units, and necessary interior improvements for appropriate living conditions. It is anticipated that the program will be able to provide assistance to six (6) additional men annually.

Currently, Logos Lodge, Inc. partners with the Chamber of Economic Partnership, United Way Strong Families, FreeDOM Clinic, His Compassion Food Bank, His House for Her, and Christian Twelve Step in providing services to their clients.
