DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
Currently proposed legislation (Senate Bill 1264 and House Bill 1125) would effectively strip Regional Planning Councils of their statutory authority. Language has been proposed that “Local governments may enter into agreements to create regional planning entities pursuant to chapter 163, Florida Statutes.”
East Central Florida Regional Planning Council has requested each member’s consideration of the attached Interlocal Agreement.
