DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:

Logos Lodge, Inc., a nonprofit established in 2018, mentors men through a drug and alcohol regeneration program. The organization provides transitional support including housing, employment assistance, leadership development, family reunification, and financial literacy education. The nonprofit also partners with numerous community organizations to deliver wraparound services to its clients.

 

On July 9, 2025, Logos Lodge, Inc. submitted an application for both the Home Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) and State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) funds. The proposal seeks funding to acquire and rehabilitate two (2) single-family residences that will serve households earning up 80% of the area median income (AMI).

 

The total project cost is approximately $1,000,000, with the following funding structure:

• HOME funds (acquisition and rehabilitation): $779,585

• SHIP funds (acquisition): $220,415

 

Acquisition will be of tax parcel 41409-006-12, which contains the two residences addressed as:

• 4560 SE 120th St., Belleview, FL 34420

• 4564 SE 120th St., Belleview, FL 34420

 

Upon completion, the homes will be converted into transitional rental housing for families impacted by addiction, allowing Logos Lodge, Inc. to serve an additional two (2) men and their families annually, furthering the County’s goals of expanding affordable housing opportunities.
