DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:

G. Matthew Brockway, with Icard Merrill, on behalf of property owners, Castro Plaza, LLC. and Austin International Realty, LLC., has filed an application to rezone a 43.62-acre parcel at the southeast corner of N US Hwy 27 and NW 70th Avenue Rd. from Planned Unit Development (PUD) to Planned Unit Development (PUD) amending the previous approval for Martingale and proposing a maximum of 190 dwelling units, single-family dwellings and/or attached townhome dwellings, and up to 225,000 sq. ft. of commercial use, pursuant to the provisions of Land Development Code (LDC) Division 2.7 - Zoning and LDC Section 4.2.31. The subject property is situated inside the Urban Growth Boundary (UGB) as well as the County's Secondary Springs Protection Overlay Zone (S-SPOZ).
