DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
When budgeting for the fiscal year, it was anticipated that the Stryker maintenance plan would cost approximately $350,000; however, the contract that was approved on September 1, 2026, was for the amount of $506,034.75. Funds are being transferred from other operating accounts for maintenance for these capital items. In addition, a temporary staff member is being hired for a vacant Medical Billing Specialist position whereby funds are needed for the correct account. There is also a new EMS protocol app for medication dosage that is needed. Funds will be moved from operating accounts to cover this need. Fiscal Year 2028's budget will accommodate the Stryker Maintenance amount and the new application with an anticipated increase; however, it is subject to change determined by the vendor. There may be future transfers to cover the temporary staffing account.
