DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
Present letter from Florida Department of Revenue (DOR) dated October 21, 2025, for the Marion County Board of County Commissioners stating that TRIM (Truth in Millage) Certification has been accepted.
The DOR determined that the county committed minor infractions related to the Notice of Proposed Tax Increase advertisement where portions of the property tax levy were incorrectly stated. Staff has reviewed the documentation provided by the DOR and will ensure that additional steps are in place going forward to prevent a recurrence of these infractions.
