DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
For the board meeting on October 21, 2025, Marion County Fire Rescue (MCFR) moved $327 to cover the shortfall that Information Technology (IT) identified for the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) capital project, for the specific account pertaining to the department. It was made known that the project and account were negative in the amount of $36,206.
To cover the issue, MCFR will move funds from the Computer Software account, which is the appropriate source for this type of capital project expenditure. In evaluating whether this represents a recurring or non-recurring issue, MCFR has contacted IT to request projected funding needs for the FY 2026-27 Capital Improvement Program so future budgets can be properly aligned and adequately funded.
