DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
On September 14, 2021, the Board approved a two (2) year contract with Safety Products, Inc. (SPI) to supply a variety of personal protection items for use by employees at Marion County and its Constitutional Officers. The contract included three (3) annual renewal options. On October 17, 2023, the Board approved the first one (1) year renewal option. SPI has continued to perform well under this agreement, and Risk Management requests approval of the second one (1) year renewal option.
Attached for review is a draft contract amendment; pending approval at today’s meeting, it will be sent to SPI for signatures and upon return, will be routed to the County Attorney, Clerk and Chair for same.
BUDGET/IMPACT:
Neutral; expenditure will be based on the needs of each individual department, with funding required to be established in the appropriate accounts. Each fiscal year’s expenditures, per department, shall not exceed approved annual budged amounts without being presented to the County Administrator or Board for approval, as appropriate.
