DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
Following Hurricane Irma, the County was partially approved for Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) funding for flood mitigation relief for SE 34th Place and several homes within the Country Gardens Subdivision (HMGP project number 4337-360-R). The agreement for the project was approved and signed by the Board on March 24, 2020 (Agenda Item 7H26). The grant agreement was executed by the State on July 24, 2020. The Board awarded the design of the project to Jones Edmunds on January 5, 2021 following selection by the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) Selection Committee.
This modification extends the agreement expiration date. Staff requested the time extension due to additional field data collection to properly model the subdivision.
The agreement deadline after the second modification was March 31, 2022. This modification sets the new agreement deadline to September 30, 2022.
