DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
On January 16, 2018, the Board approved the sole source declaration and purchase of Firstwatch® Early Event Detection System (FirstWatch). FirstWatch integrates with Marion County Fire Rescue’s (MCFR) Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD), Electronic Patient Care Reporting (ePCR), and billing systems to provide real-time data analysis, trend identification, and automated alerts. The system enhances operational awareness and supports proactive resource deployment through a live dashboard and incident notifications.
Contract Amendment 1, presented for consideration today, requests approval to purchase the First Pass Quality Assurance (QA) Module to enhance Emergency Medical Services quality assurance, improve documentation compliance, streamline report reviews, identify trends, and support billing accuracy. The software will increase efficiency, strengthen clinical oversight, and support the delivery of high-quality emergency medical services throughout Marion County.
Attached for review is a draft contract amendment. Upon approval at today’s meeting, the agreement will be sent to Firstwatch for signature, and once returned, will be sent to Legal, the Clerk and Chairman for signatures.
