DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
Growth Services staff along with their consultant, Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc., will be having meetings with the public regarding Marion County’s 2025 Evaluation Appraisal Report (EAR). Florida Statute requires a review of the Comprehensive Plan every seven years to ensure consistency with statutory requirements and community engagement. This report, the EAR, is due February 2025 with identified changes to the Comprehensive Plan to be completed within one year. These meetings and the associated survey will provide the public and stakeholders the opportunity to provide input on suggested changes.
Several community meetings were already noticed and held in July. This additional meeting of August 22nd at 7pm has been added in conjunction with the State of the County address at the Mulberry Grove Complex in The Villages.
