DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:

On May 23, 2025, the Board adopted Ordinance No. 2025-17, the “Marion County Fire Rescue Impact Fee Ordinance.”   Because the City has its own fire department, only EMS Impact Fees will be charged within the City. This draft agreement provides for City collection of those impact fees within the City and remittance to the County.   We have been working with the City to finalize this agreement, and the County Attorney is requesting general approval of this agreement but authorization for the County Attorney to negotiate any final revisions with the City Attorney.
