DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
The Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 authorizes urban counties the ability to enter into Cooperation Agreements with local governments to carry out eligible activities under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME), and Emergency Solutions Grant Program (ESG) programs. Marion County extended this opportunity to five municipalities-Ocala, Dunnellon, Belleview, Reddick, and McIntosh-offering them the option to participate in the County’s federal grant programs or apply independently through the State of Florida.
The City of Belleview has elected to enter into a three-year Cooperation Agreement with Marion County for the 2026-2028 program period.

Motion to approve and authorize Chairman and Clerk to execute the Cooperation Agreement with the City of Belleview.
