DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
1. Pending Requisition/Cumberland International Trucks - Solid Waste requests approval to purchase one (1) 2026 International HX Semi Truck with Roll Off Trailer, as per specifications detailed in the attached quote. This semi-truck will replace Asset #4681 (SW-97), which has met the Fleet Department’s replacement criteria. Total expenditure of $310,830.00. Funds are available in line ZA425534-564101 (Solid Waste Disposal Fund). This purchase meets competitive bidding requirements under Sheriff Contract FSA23-VEH21.
2. Pending Requisition/Mid Florida Diesel - Utilities Management requests approval to purchase three (3) Blue Star Power System - JD80-02 - 80KW Generators ($42,380.00 each) and one (1) Blue Star Power System - JD150-1 - 150KW Generator ($56,585.00). Total expenditure of $183,725.00. Funds are available in line ZF442533-564101 (Utility Fund, Machinery and Equipment). This purchase meets competitive bidding requirements under Sheriff Contract FSA23-EQU21.0.
3. Pending Requisition/Cumberland International Trucks - Fire Rescue requests approval of one (1) 2025 International HV Truck, as per specifications detailed in the attached quote. Total expenditure of $210,641.00. Funds are available in line VJ732522-564101 (Infrastructure Surtax Capital Project Fund). This purchase meets competitive bidding requirements under Sheriff Contract FSA23-VEH21.
4. Pending Requisition/A&A Trucking & Excavating - Office of the County Engineer requests the approval to demolish six (6) properties acquired by Marion County Property Management. The work includes demolition of structures, removal of debris, vegetation, septic systems, and any other infrastructure found on the properties. Total expenditure of $128,764.00. Funds are available in line STC073814 - VJ738541-561301 (Infrastructure Surtax Capital Project Fund). This purchase meets competitive bidding requirements under contract 24Q-111.
5. Pending Requisition/Garber Chevrolet BuickGMC Truck - Municipal Services requests approval to purchase three (3) 2025 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 4WD Double Cab ($42,982.50/each), as per specifications detailed in the attached quote. These vehicles will replace Asset #33791 (MOP-3), Asset RLE-1 and Asset #40816 (P-131), which has met the Fleet Department’s replacement criteria. Total expenditure of $128,947.50. Funds are available in line HL520575-564101 ($42,982.50) (SSS Special Tax District) and HC505541-564101 ($85,965.00) (RM RLE MSTU Road Improvement). This purchase meets competitive bidding requirements under Sheriffs Contract #FSA24-VEL32.0.
