DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
During the commission meeting on March 1, 2022, the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) approved contracts with three (3) contractors to provide roofing trade contract services on an as-needed basis for the County. The Facilities department solicited quotes from those pre-qualified contractors for the Human Resources Roof Replacement. The summary is below:

Facilities recommends awarding the Human Resources Roof Replacement to Big D Roofing Services, Inc. The work will include removal and disposal of the existing roof, replacement of plywood, trusses, soffit and fascia where needed, replacement of underlayment, ridge vent and drip edge as well as permitting and site related expenses. The shingles will have a 25-year manufacturer’s warranty.
A copy of Big D Roofing Services, Inc.’s proposal is attached for review and upon approval will become part of the project file and backup to the purchase order.
BUDGET/IMPACT:
Neutral; project cost is $54,975. Funding is available in AA180519-546140-180RAMP26-HMNRES (General Fund).
