DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
The current expenditure budget appropriation is inadequate due to a higher-than-anticipated number of employees enrolling in long term disability, which exceeded the original budget projections.
To address the shortfall, we have identified funds in our Reserve for Self-Insurance Claims account. These funds are available specifically for situations like this, where unexpected costs arise. This is a non-recurring issue.
