DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
When Agreement WME-040-O was presented to the Board for approval on February 18, 2025, project costs were based on an 8-inch water main design. It was later determined that the Marion Oaks master plan specifies a 6-inch main, and the project costs were adjusted accordingly. In addition, the developer revised its contractor selection, opting to proceed with Burton Utilities rather than the lowest bid submitted by MCU.
As a result of these changes, the Agreement is being amended to reflect the revised scope and cost allocations, which reduce the share obligation for each parcel from $7,259.08 to $4,668.72. The developer’s financial obligation to MCU is limited to a $700 design fee, which has already been paid.
