DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
Nathan Andrew Boyer from Scouting America Troop 113 has achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest honor in Scouting and a milestone earned through dedication, leadership, and service to others.
Nathan is the 88th scout in the 84-year history of the troop to achieve this prestigious recognition.
Nathan’s Eagle Scout Leadership service project was to rejuvenate the Memorial Garden at Weirsdale Presbyterian Church, a meaningful and meditative focal point of the church campus. In addition, he performed maintenance activities around the church to include pressure washing of the network of sidewalks in near proximity to the Church Manse, cleaned and cleared the church's orange grove and repaired its irrigation system, and installed bollards to protect the septic tank and drainfield system that services the church facilities. This project is highly valued by the church, and it will enhance the use and aesthetics of the church grounds for years to come.
