DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
On August 4, 2026, the Board approved 33 appraisals under purchases over $50,000. The appraisals were for partial takings of parcels, including right-of-way, drainage easements, and/or temporary construction easements for the NW/NE 35th Street Phase 1B widening project (from 600 feet east of W. Anthony Road to NE Jacksonville Road).
Change Order 1 requests an additional 10 appraisals for use by Marion County in negotiation and possible acquisitions from the property owners.
The Change Order and detailed proposal are attached for review. Following approval at today’s meeting, the Change Order will be presented to the Chairman for signature.
BUDGET/IMPACT:
Neutral; additional expenditure of $40,000, bringing the total amount of the Purchase Order to $171,000. Funding comes from VJ738541-561301 (Transportation Improvements).
