DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
In accordance with Land Development Code section 6.14.2, developers (property owners) are required to connect to public utilities if the property is within connection distance. For a single-family residence, the connection distance is 400 feet from the parcel’s closest corner to the public water main. In this case, the property owner is required to connect to the public water main provided by Marion County Utilities (MCU), which will result in installing 276 feet of water main across the parcel’s frontage to the end of the property. The water main extension project will create a benefit for four (4) additional parcels along the route.
