DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
This is a request to consider approval of a Resolution by Petitioners Bahia Oaks, Inc., and Dirk J. Leeward and Kent A. Leeward, as Co-Personal Representatives of the Estate of James K. Leeward to close and abandon SW 60th Road and SW 60th Court, Bahia Oaks Unit Number Four, Plat Book L, Page 70, and Declaration Granting Easements.
The above referenced roads requested to be closed will finish closing the remaining platted roads in the subdivision. Previously closed roads were abrogated by County action and will help finalize cleaning up the plat.
As a condition of this request, the Petitioners will convey to the County a Declaration Granting Easements that will permit the public to utilize the right of way to the same extent as it currently does.
The County reserves any easements for public utilities. The Development Review Committee considered this request on January 22, 2024 and it was the committee’s recommendation that the petition be granted.
