DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
The overtime account is currently low in funds and will need to be replenished so as not to be at a deficit for the end of the fiscal year. Due to some of the vacancies throughout the year, it has affected this account more than planned. In November, there were 17 vacancies and as of April, there were 33 vacancies. There are savings realized from the vacancies throughout the year that can be used from Regular Salaries and Wages, in addition to Reserves for Contingencies, to transfer to Overtime at a conservative amount while monitoring the expenditures. It is anticipated that there may be another budget amendment that may be needed to cover overtime for the rest of the fiscal year.
