DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:

Attached for informational purposes is the FY 2023-24 ambulance write-off report for Marion County Fire Rescue.

 

Past due accounts are historically written off from the billing software system following one (1) year with the County’s contracted collections agency, as the fiscal year has closed. However, payments are still being made to the accounts and are part of the open fiscal year’s revenues moving forward.

 

The current write-off total is $5,001,070.30
