DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
On September 19, 2023, the Board approved a contract with Downs & St. Germain Research, Inc., for services related to Visitor Tracking and Economic Impact Study. The firm has been the agency of record relative to all of Marion County’s Economic Impact of Tourism studies. The firm has met the terms and conditions outlined in the original agreement. Following positive performance evaluations, Tourist Development Director Loretta Shaffer recommends renewing the contract for an additional two (2) years.
The amendment includes a name change from Downs & St. Germain Research, Inc. to Downs & St. Germain, LLC.
Attached for review is the contract draft. Following approval at today’s meeting, it will be sent to Downs & St. Germain, LLC for signatures and upon return, will be forwarded to Legal, the Clerk, and Chairman for signatures.
BUDGET/IMPACT:
Neutral; annual estimated expenditure of $75,000, not to exceed budgeted amounts approved by the Board. Funding is from CP155552 (Tourist Development Fund).

Motion to approve the recommendation and allow staff to issue the renewal, and upon approval by Legal, authorize the Chairman and Clerk to execute the contract with Downs & St. Germain, LLC under 24BE-007.
