DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
The Solid Waste department requests an additional $1,000,000 in the Contract Services Other Miscellaneous account (534101) to cover the unexpected costs of debris removal following Hurricane Milton. The volume of debris has exceeded initial projections. As storm damage and response costs were not included in the fiscal year 2024-2025 budget, this one-time adjustment will utilize excess funds from the Reserve for Capital Outlay account (599302).
