DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
On behalf of the Office of the County Engineer (OCE), Procurement issued a solicitation for the provision of combined roadside, slope, and finish mowing services, including litter pickup and removal for these areas. A total of five (5) firms submitted proposals, of which two (2) subsequently withdrew their bids. A summary of the remaining three (3) firms’ proposals is provided below:

Steven Cohoon, P.E., County Engineer, recommends that Extreme Enterprises of Marion County, Inc. receive the award as the lowest, most responsive, and most responsible bidder.
Attached for review is a draft contract. Pending approval at today’s meeting, it will be sent to the firm for signatures. Upon return, it will be forwarded to Legal, the Clerk and Chairman for signatures.
BUDGET/IMPACT:
Neutral; estimated annual expenditure of $1,359,782.75. Funding comes from BL400541-534101 (County Transportation Maintenance Fund) and ZA425534-534101 (Solid Waste Disposal Fund).
