DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
On July 7, 2026, the Board approved an agreement with Johnson Controls Fire Protection LP for 26B-092, Fire Sprinkler Systems and Fire Pumps Inspections and Testing Services.
Since execution of the Agreement, Facilities Management identified a required inspection service that was not included in the original solicitation scope.
Contract Amendment 1 adds Sprinkler Three-Year Air Leak Testing to the Agreement and updates the fee schedule to include pricing for this required service. The amendment also clarifies the Parties' original intent regarding the contract term by confirming an initial term of August 1, 2026, through July 31, 2028, with two (2) optional two-year renewal terms upon mutual written agreement.
Attached for review is a contract amendment draft. Upon approval at today’s meeting, it will be sent to Johnson Controls Fire Protection LP for signatures. Once returned, it will be forwarded to Legal, the Clerk, and Chairman for execution.
BUDGET/IMPACT:
Neutral; estimated additional annual expenditure of $1,920. Funding is available in line AA180519-534101 (General Fund)

Motion to approve the recommendation and allow staff to issue a contract and upon approval by Legal, authorize the Chairman and Clerk to execute the contract under 26B-092.
