DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
In FY 2021-22, the Marion County Board of County Commissioners approved a contractual agreement with Dr. Frank Fraunfelter to serve as Medical Director for Marion County Fire Rescue. As a provision of that agreement, the County committed to establishing an Associate Medical Director position in the fourth year of the agreement (FY 2025-26) to support system oversight, quality improvement, and clinical operations. The proposed agreement between Marion County and the selected Associate Medical Director fulfills this contractual obligation and will enhance medical direction capabilities within the EMS system.
