DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:

Marion County receives Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnership, HOME American Rescue Plan Act, and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funds as an Entitlement County from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Marion County formed a Consortium with the City of Ocala for the receipt of HOME funds, which Marion County is the lead agency. The City receives CDBG funds independently as an Entitlement City.

To receive the aforementioned grant funds the Board County Commissioner approved Marion County’s HUD Five-Year Consolidated Plan 2019-2024, along with associated Annual Action Plan(s) 2019-2020,2020-2021,2021-2022 and 2022-2023.

Per the Citizen Participation Plan requirements and Resolution 19-R-024 required by the Department of HUD, two public hearings are required prior to changes and submission of the approved plans. This is the second and final public hearing for the HUD Five-Year Consolidated Plan 2019-2024 and  Annual Action Plan 2023-2024.
