DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:

Requesting approval of “Interlocal Agreement Concerning Right of Way and Sewage Spray Field Facilities in Conjunction with Marion County Road Construction Project for Emerald Road Extension from SE 92nd Loop to Florida Northern Railroad.” The construction of the road project will require new right of way, easements, and drainage retention areas through a parcel of land currently owned by the City of Ocala. The City operates and maintains sewage spray field facilities on this parcel which will be impacted by the project. This interlocal agreement will allow for the construction of the roadway to proceed while elements of this agreement, including mitigation for the impacts to the spray field, are completed concurrently with, or after, completion of the road project.

 

BUDGET/IMPACT:

Neutral: Expenditure of $2,332,730.00. Funding will be available in lines BL760541-561301 - County Transportation Maintenance Fund (TIP073865), GA771541-563511 - County Impact Fee - East Fund (TIP073865) and, VJ738541-561301 County Sales Tax Fund (STC073865).

Motion to approve the attached Interlocal Agreement and to authorize the Chairman and Clerk to execute the same.
