DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
On August 6, 2025, the Board approved the Fiscal Year 2025-26 Annual Action Plan for Community Services, which includes the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME), and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG). This Annual Action Plan aligns with the Fiscal Year 2024-28 Five-Year Consolidated Plan.
On October 7, 2025, The Board approved an agreement to provide The Marion County Sexual Assault Center with $100,000 of CDBG-PS grant. The funding supported victims who have experienced trauma of sexual assault. The program’s primary goal is to reduce the incidence of sexual assault in Marion County while providing comprehensive support to victims to aid in their recovery.
The proposed amendment being presented for approval is to provide The Marion County Sexual Assault Center with an additional $75,950 of CDBG Public Service funding for expansion of their services to include domestic violence services.
