DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
On August 21, 2024, representatives from the MSTU/Assessment Department and CWH Inc., the Engineer of Record, inspected the subject project to evaluate the road’s condition for the purpose of ending the warranty period.
The Engineer of Record accepted the project in satisfactory condition, which meets the requirements to end the warranty period based on the inspection. Therefore, staff recommends releasing the contractor from warranty obligations per the project’s specifications.
This roadway had been historically accepted for maintenance by the Board and the Office of the County Engineer will continue to be responsible for the maintenance of Belleview Heights Estates Unit No. 7 - SE 141st Place from SE 48th Avenue to SE 47th Avenue Road Improvement Area upon release of the warranty period.

Motion to approve final acceptance of the Belleview Heights Estates Unit Number Seven - SE 141st Place from SE 48th Avenue to SE 47th Avenue Road Improvement Area (Bid number 23B-063), release the contractor from any further warranty obligations and authorize Chair to execute the attached letter releasing the contractor from warranty.
