DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
Requesting to reallocate savings within Utility Services - Electric, Water, and Sewer to Operating Supplies to accommodate the reconfiguration of the calltaking dispatch supervisor's console workstation. This proposed reconfiguration is intended to support and enhance supervisory span of control during peak operational hours, specifically to improve oversight of calltakers.
Currently, our swing shift operates from 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM, a critical timeframe when call volume and operational demands are at their highest. This budget amendment will enable supervisors to more effectively manage and actively contribute to both emergency and non-emergency calltaking functions during this period, thereby improving overall efficiency, response, and maintain operational stability.
