DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
The County has been approved for Florida Department of Environmental Protection Resilient Florida Program funding for completion of a comprehensive vulnerability assessment (VA) pursuant to Section 380.093, Florida Statutes, for unincorporated Marion County, including the towns of Reddick and McIntosh. The agreement for the project was approved and signed by the Board on October 17, 2023 (Agenda Item 7.5.8.). The grant agreement was executed by the State on October 31, 2023. The Board awarded the project to Halff Associates, Inc. on May 21, 2024 following selection by the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) Selection Committee.
This amendment adds a no-cost task to the agreement to identify the project standards to be used for the study. Staff requested this amendment after discussing the legislative changes with the State and determining that the County should proceed with the newest standards per Section 380.093, Florida Statutes.
