DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
Marion County Building Services requests approval to piggyback the City of Groveland’s contract with Raftelis Financial Consultants to conduct a fee study.
This study will ensure that fees collected reflect the actual direct and indirect costs of maintaining building safety operations, eliminate the accumulation of excessive carryforward funds, align future revenue collections with statutory mandates, and fully comply with Florida Statute 553.80 and House Bill 803.
Attached for review and approval is the Solicitation Waiver and Piggyback Contract. Upon approval at today’s meeting, the waiver will be presented to the Chairman for signatures. The Contract will be sent to Raftelis Financial Consultants, Inc., for signature and once returned will be forwarded to the County Attorney, Clerk, and Chairman for signatures.

Neutral; estimated expenditure of $75,000. Fundng is from line EP318524-531109 (Building Professional Services).

Motion to approve the piggyback and authorize the Chairman to execute the solicitation waiver as well as allow staff to issue the contract to Raftelis Financial Consultants, Inc., and upon approval from Legal, authorize the Chairman and Clerk to execute the contract under 26PB-086.
