DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
On August 19, 2025, the Board approved contracts with four (4) firms for Solid Waste Engineering Services to provide professional services on an as-needed basis. Solid Waste recommends awarding the Semi-Annual Groundwater Monitoring and Reporting Services for the Davis, Newton, and Baseline Landfills to Stearns, Conrad and Schmidt Consulting Engineers, Inc. dba SCS Engineers (SCS). SCS will assist the County in meeting ongoing groundwater monitoring requirements by preparing and submitting semi-annual groundwater monitoring reports to the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) for each landfill site.
Attached for review is SCS’s proposal; upon approval at today’s meeting, a purchase order will be issued.
BUDGET/IMPACT:
Neutral; expenditure of $88,880. Funding is from ZA423534-531109 (Solid Waste Disposal Fund)
