DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:

The subject property is a 1.69-acre parcel that has a Community Business (B-2) zoning classification. The applicant is requesting a Special Use Permit (SUP) to allow for multiple events year-round, as well as the operation of a flea market one weekend per month without needing to obtain a Special Event Permit. Typically, a Special Event Permit limits events to one per quarter. The events relate to holidays, military holidays, and back-to-school events. (A list of the events can be found on pages 8 & 9 of the staff report.) This application is the result of a code case (case number 980852). The property is located within the Secondary Springs Protection Zone.
