DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
A budget amendment is requested to provide additional funds for Utility Services- Waste Disposal (Heart of Florida Airspace) due to biosolids material now being transported to the Heart of Florida Landfill. Previously, this material was hauled to another vendor; however, that contract was recently canceled. The biosolids are now being disposed of at the Heart of Florida Landfill using Marion County’s prepaid airspace capacity. Additional funding is also requested for Repairs and Maintenance- Fleet Repairs, as actual expenditures are trending higher than budgeted.
