DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
In 2017, Jeremy and Nicole Gatch were approved for State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Purchase Assistance for property located at 7597 SW 80th Place, Ocala, FL 34476, Parcel Number 3545-002-013. The Mortgage and Promissory Note was recorded with the Marion County Clerk of the Court.
Earlier this year, the Gatch’s received an insurance claim check for repairs to the roof due to water damage. Marion County was also a named party on the check, and during the July 6, 2021 regularly scheduled meeting, the Board approved the County Administrator to endorse and release the homeowner’s insurance check.
Following receipt of the initial check and payment made to the contractor, an additional insurance check, due to supplemental damages was received, and again Marion County is a named party on the check. The Board is being asked to approve the County Administrator to endorse and release the homeowner’s insurance check.
