DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
A budget amendment is necessary to realign funds and ensure adequate coverage for expenditures through the remainder of the fiscal year, including increased allocations for Gasoline, Oil, and Lubricants due to rising fuel costs; Training for unplanned opportunities; Operating Supplies to support day-to-day site needs; and Communications to facilitate the transition from high-cost handheld radios to cell phones at the recycling centers; sufficient funds are available within the Repairs and Maintenance Equipment account to offset these increases.
