DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
On September 19, 2023, the Board approved a contract with Certified Backflow Services, LLC, to provide bacteriological sampling and testing services in support of the Marion County Utilities staffed crew for public water main installation projects.
Certified Backflow Services, LLC has received favorable evaluations under this contract and it is the recommendation of Marion County Utilities to renew this contract for the first of three total annual renewal terms. Certified Backflow Services, LLC has confirmed their intent to continue under this contract for the upcoming one (1) year term.
Attached for review is a draft of the contract; pending approval at today’s meeting, it will be sent to the contractor for execution as written and upon return, will be forwarded for the County Attorney’s, Clerk’s, and Chairman’s signatures.
BUDGET/IMPACT:
Neutral; estimated annual expenditure of $50,000 is based on unit pricing and will vary based on the number and size of projects completed.

Motion to approve and allow staff to issue contract, and upon approval by Legal, authorize the Chairman to execute the contract with Certified Backflow Services, LLC under 23B-185.
