DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
Marion County Utilities (MCU) maintenance has been working to improve access or ownership of Lift Station properties within the Oak Run Neighborhood. MCU is working with property management within Oak Run Neighborhood to resolve property ownership of various lift station sites. Multiple sites were not fully transferred to MCU during acquisition of the wastewater system and staff is working to resolve these. During evaluation of Lift Station 1, it was determined that access to the lift station site from the internal right-of-way needed to be improved. Staff determined that the best solution is to gain access via parcel # 7001-001-009. Access to the lift station is best gained from the right-of-way in the cul-de-sac of SW 109th Lane, which is internal to the subdivision. Initially access will be along the western property line of the parcel but may require demolition of the structure for permanent access, which staff will determine later. Purchasing the property will be required to obtain this necessary access to lift station #1. Funds also needed for closing costs.
