DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
Due to a need for providing better Crime Prevention Educational opportunities to young children in Marion County, we are requesting the purchase of the KC and Cruiser Remote Control Educational Car to be used by the Marion County Sheriff's Office.
Because the cost of this Educational unit is more than $5,000, the account 564101 (Machinery and Equipment) had to be created in the Crime Prevention Fund Account.
We are requesting to move funding from account 549990 (Other Current Charges Misc. Expenses) to the newly created account 564101 (Machinery and Equipment) within the Crime Prevention Cost Center in the amount of $12,500 to cover the one-time purchase cost of the KC and Cruiser Remote Control Educational Car.
