DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
Marion County Building Services requests approval to piggyback the City of Clermont’s contract with Willdan Engineering, Inc. for plans review and inspection services.
Building Services previously piggybacked with Willdan Engineering, Inc. under the City of Clermont’s contract under 22PB-071. Instead of exercising another contract renewal option, the City of Clermont solicited a Request for Qualification (RFQ) for Multidisciplinary Professional On-Call Consulting Services on July 22, 2025, and awarded to Willdan Engineering, Inc.
Attached for review and approval is the Piggyback Contract and Solicitation Waiver. Upon approval at today’s meeting, the waiver will be presented to the Chairman for signatures. The Contract will be sent to Willdan Engineering, Inc., for signature and once returned will be forwarded to the County Attorney, Clerk, and Chairman for signatures.
BUDGET/IMPACT:
Neutral; estimated expenditure of $450,000. Funding is from line EP318524-534101 (Building Inspections).

Motion to approve the piggyback and authorize the Chairman to execute the solicitation waiver as well as allow staff to issue the contract to Willdan Engineering, Inc., and upon approval from Legal, authorize, the Chairman and Clerk and to execute the contract under 26PB-130.
