DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
On September 14, 2021, the Board approved a two (2) year contract with Safety Products, Inc. (SPI) to supply a variety of personal protection equipment for use by Marion County employees and Constitutional Officers. SPI has continued to perform well under the agreement, and Risk & Benefit Services recommends continuing the contract. The proposed amendment provides for three (3) additional one-year renewal options and renews the agreement for one (1) year, effective October 1, 2026 through September 30, 2027.
Attached for review is a draft contract amendment; pending approval at today’s meeting, it will be sent to SPI for signature and upon return, will be routed to the County Attorney, Clerk and Chairman for signatures.
BUDGET/IMPACT:
Neutral; expenditure will be based on the needs of each individual department, with funding required to be established in the appropriate accounts. Each fiscal years’ expenditure, per department, shall not exceed approved annual budgeted amounts without being presented to the Board for approval.
