DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
On January 19, 2021, the Board awarded a contract to Rispoli & Associates Architecture, Inc. (RAA) to provide the design services for the State Attorney’s Fourth (4th) Floor Build-out and Courtroom Design project. This project has undergone multiple bidding rounds for the construction portion of the project due to budget limitations. This resulted in changes in building codes due to elapsed time. RAA is seeking compensation to revise the 100% drawings and to provide additional bid services. The change order being presented today adds additional funds to compensate the firm for these additional services mentioned above. The added work will increase the project duration by four (4) weeks.
Attached for review is a copy of the change order and RAA’s proposal. Pending approval today, the change order will be presented for the Clerk’s and Chair’s signatures.
BUDGET/IMPACT:
Neutral; additional expenditure of $10,450, bringing the total purchase order amount to $240,350. Funding is from line AA707712-562102 (General Courthouse Capital Improvements Projects).
