DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
Significant litter and damage have occurred within the Stonecrest Center Phase IV drainage retention area (DRA). Verbal quotes were obtained from four vendors to perform the necessary preventive maintenance to restore the DRA to an acceptable condition. The proposed work includes trash removal, repairing three sections of fencing, installing “No Trespassing” signage, and trimming large trees to improve visibility.
Because this issue was unanticipated and requires urgent attention, the associated costs exceed the current budget, so a request is being made for funds to be transferred to the Repairs/Maintenance - Buildings & Grounds account.
Funds are available in Improvements - Roads & Bridges account. In the next fiscal year, the ongoing maintenance needs will be addressed, such as brush hogging, additional mowing, and removal of small trees through the regular budgeting process.
