DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
Ordinance Number 21-01 was adopted for the creation of the Maricamp Market Centre Replat Phase 1 and Phase 2 Municipal Services Benefit Unit (MSBU) for General Maintenance and Capital Improvements. Resolution No. 21-R-146 was adopted on April 6, 2021 to establish a $275 per acre assessment rate. We are proposing the adoption of a resolution to authorize an increase of the per acre assessment rate from $275 to $500 per acre for the Maricamp Market Centre Replat Phase 1 and Phase 2 MSBU to cover the added costs associated with mowing the Rights-of-Ways and Drainage Retention Areas (DRAs) and certify the assessment roll to the Tax Collector.
